The work is about a region of southern Louisiana in which is going to be completely underwater by the year 2050, my work focuses on old highway 51 which is an older highway parallel to the new elevated highway 51 which avoids flooding. Old highway 51 is for me an example of a community in which will suffer from the rising sea levels before many others as the region is inherently below sea level. Through research data from NASA images, the predictions of this community being completely immersed in water is only 25 years from now and I am set to document this area as a form of evidence to how we decide politically now in 2025 as a mistake. In a sense, these images are meant to me seen 25 years from now to point out the self-sabotaging political climate of today.
